Leadership

Ryan is originally from California, but moved to Texas to work for a large Christian nonprofit organization. That leap of faith became the stepping stone into ministry, and in 2020 he became Lead Pastor of Awaken Church. He and his wife, Lindsey, have two kids. Outside the church, he's an active marathon runner and an unapologetically loyal Las Vegas Raiders fan. He holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and is passionate about reaching greater Austin with the Gospel. If you're new, he'd love to meet you — reach out and say hello.

Daniel, who started out as a teacher and a coach in the public school system in Texas, has served on staff with Awaken Church for the past five years. He plays an active role in leading our Next Generation ministries, social media channels, and our Connect Groups. Daniel is married, he and his wife have 2 children. Jon is a Michigan native, but got to Texas by way of FloSports. When not serving the church, he is the wrestling guru. Jon was a former campus pastor and brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and care to our pastoral team. He leads alongside his wife, Kari, in our Kid's and Bridge Ministry areas. 

Garry is a world traveller. He and his family have served as overseas missionaries, and he is still very active in overseas missions to this day. Garry and his wife, Kim, came to Awaken five years ago and have served in numerous leadership roles since. He would love to meet you and connect for a cup of coffee. Reach out to Garry today!

Lindsay and her husband, Kenny, have been at Awaken for the past four years, by way of New Mexico. She is a talented musician, who not only can sing, but also plays keys and the viola. Lindsay is passionate about worshipping her Savior, and leading our church to pour out their affection to the King of Kings. Come and experience our Sunday worship and join with Lindsay as we sing. 

Paco currently is our church planting resident, with an expected launch date of his church in early 2028. Paco has deep experience in ministry, both here in the U.S. and in Panama. When he's not working with Awaken, he is a math teacher at Round Rock High School. He, his wife Jenn, and their 2 sons are excited where God is leading them in this church planting journey. Kari is an incredible minister of the gospel to the Next Generation. She serves as our Awaken Kids Director, and does a phenomenal job crafting moments where our kids can experience who Jesus is. She is married to Jon, and they have four of the sweetest girls.
